Your day at the races is about to get a whole lot better. Nikon has come out with a couple of winning NASCAR binoculars that will leave you saying, “Wow”. Since they’re officially licensed by NASCAR, they’re very popular (as you can imagine). They’re also very small and ergonomic (weighs under 10.5 oz.). They come in two varieties: 8 x 25 and 10 x 25. Priced at around $30, they’re just a smart deal all the way around. Here are some other features of this terrific item:
This pair of binoculars are multicoated (which means brighter images). There are varying types of optical coatings for binoculars. With multi-coated lenses, the light transmits better than with single-coated lenses. However, they are not superior to fully multi-coated binoculars, which have the best contrast and light transmission.
They have a quick center focus, which lets you zoom in on your target fast. When you’re watching a race, you’ll want to be able to find your favorite driver at any given point in time. Nikon’s NASCAR binoculars do just that.
The binoculars are water-resistant, which means you can use them even on rainy days. Do keep in mind that there’s a difference between water-resistant and waterproof. Waterproof will not allow any water in under any circumstances. Water-resistant will block out water up to a point, but can’t hold up under extreme conditions, like being immersed in water.
They provide a 429 foot field of view at 3000 feet (ten times the length of a football field). They also let you pull in to within 8.2 feet of the target (with the 8 x 25 model; the 10 x 25 model pulls in objects to within 11.4 feet).
The eyecups retract and twist out, which means that you can still wear your glasses when using them. This is a simple, yet very thoughtful addition that many binoculars fail to consider, especially for the price!
They’re good for things outside sporting events. Sure, they’re great for football, baseball, basketball, and of course NASCAR. But you can also take them bird-watching, to a concert, or use them for astronomy.
The carrying case comes with reinforced leather slits that are useful if you’re wearing a belt. This is really nice because if you’re going to be out in the field, you don’t need to carry them in hand. Let’s say your hunting. It’s nice when you can wear the case, as this keeps you from having to wear them around your neck or limiting you to one hand.
See NASCAR in a whole new way with Nikon binoculars. They’ll bring you right into the center of the action. You can purchase them online or several sporting goods stores.
